I am an 18 year old hisghscholl student who is currently doing an online class for writing(hence the blog). I have a very big interest in all things art, as well as mental health, specifically in teens and young adults, so my age range. I started exploring this topic originally through my own experiences with mental health and unhealthy coping mechanisms, which led me to learn more about healthier ways to manage emotions. Over time, I found that creative outlets like writing and art became important tools for processing what I was feeling.
I created this blog to raise awareness about the difference between healthy and harmful coping mechanisms, especially for people my age who might be struggling in silence, or feel as though no one else knows what theyre going through. My goal is to share both research and personal insight in a way that feels real and relatable. I hope this space can encourage others to reflect on their own habits and find safer, more supportive ways to deal with stress, that don't involve anything self destructive.
